Soma’s First Shadow Mission

December 30, 2008

First off, we did some of Soma’s G9, an RP in the Shadow World.

I ended up as Cai (I swear it says Kei, but his clothes say Cai. Close enough!).

I like his Rank 9 Rest position.

Even in the Shadow World, Christmas exists.

Anyway, Soma didn’t show up! His client crashed, so I had to do the RP alone. When he relogged we tried again and this time it worked. Soma immediately died after his first shot with alchemy. It -does- take some getting used to, hehe.

Waiting for his next quest, I decided we should do a normal Shadow Mission. While I got the quest from the board, Somma noticed this guy and really likes the clothes.

I’ve never seen the clothes. I think those earmuffs are from an event, though.

The lake is apparently glitchy. Look where my shadow is.

Then Soma got the next G9, so we went and did that. And then the next one.

I’m staring at her panties.

When there are two of me, we can’t lose. It got a bit glitchy for me. In the cutscenes, instead of being the helper NPC shown above, the model was me again.

Rune would be friends with her.

Later on, we went back to Phillia, the elf town. I killed some White Kiwi to help Soma with a quest. Those things are vicious and have high HP. But do like no damage to me *hugs her shield*

And then I knocked over some desert ghosts.

The next G9 quest we have to go talk to Lucas, the Bean Rua pubmaster in Emain Macha, and then kill some kobolds.

I noticed some Wisps in the area. Wait, Wisps don’t spawn in Reighinalt …

It was a Black Wizard, which I promptly knocked down.

Then I hit him with a crane to keep him down.

Watch out Soma, it’s gonna poop on you! Pigeon NPC.

Enter Rikku/Somma/Radian/???

December 27, 2008

My friend Rikku and I were going to play iRO Valkyrie together, but I kinda forgot my password. And my account. And my email. And the name I used to register it. Whoops.

So he decided what he really wanted to do was play Mabinogi again with me. However, he can’t play NA server because his country is IP-blocked, and he’s tired of how often the KR Test server resets. However again, he doesn’t want to play on the Main server because the basic options for an elf, his race of choice, are, let’s face it, hideous.  He’s a perfectionist.

But I really want him on Lute so I told him I’d buy him a premium card after he joins (and proves he will stay long enough for it to be worth my money. I’m stingy with my money …). And he was happy and joined. Yay!

While waiting for him to dl and install the client, I went and did exploration quests on my elf. She’ll be reborn soon, so I may as well grab some extra AP before that time comes.

And I saw one of the new owl pets.  Looks like it’s trying to perch on his arrow.

Then later I met him in Tir. Yeah, my elf has ever been to Dunbarton so she moves directly to Tir with Continent Move.

Photobucket

He wanted the name “Radian” but apparently it’s one of those few english words that a KR player liked as a name (i.e. it was taken). So he is Radianl instead.

Heck, just last night Rikku and I were talking about names. He wondered how I came up with the unique identity of Angevon, since his name, well, it got ruined after FFX, to say the least. Now everyone thinks he’s a pervy fanboy or something.

*cough* *cough* Yeaaaaaahhhhhhhh….

Image nabbed from Google Images

Anyway, on test server he used the name Somma, but he’s using that name in a story, so he doesn’t want to cause confusion by using it on himself. Sort of like if I went around with the name Ellsy. Hehe.

The Christmas event is going on. I saw a blue santa! Blue~~~
Photobucket

With a Miniskeleton pet?
Photobucket

I was going to buy it, but it’s no longer sold. Well, it’s not all that cute or anything. Kinda creepy. I’d rather have the normal skel anyway.
Photobucket

Well, I took Rikku to Phillia, the elf town (screw you NA, it’s Phillia, not Filia!), so that he could make his elf. And he chose his new name.

Photobucket

He never ceases to make me smile.

His poor ugly elf.

I’ll buy the premium rebirth card after I feel he’s levelled enough, hehe. Can’t waste a rebirth, you know.

Chrono Cross Dragons

December 25, 2008

In an effort to get away from MMOs, I’ve been playing Chrono Cross on the PSX. It’s the sequel to Chrono Trigger, a famous RPG on the SNES.

Anyway, at one point you have to win a battle with every dragon god in the game to earn their blessings. There are 6, one for each element. I took pics of them because I love dragons.

If they look bad it’s because I’m playing on an emulator, although I do own the original, of course. Yay, pixelation. Also the game is ten years old, so the graphics aren’t perfect. But the game is still great.

The Earth Dragon looks like … a slug, kinda.

Photobucket

The Black Dragon sleeps.

Photobucket

Then I wake him up with rockin’ music (seriously, that is part of the quest). He’s not too happy.
Photobucket

Nasty Breath attack.
Photobucket

The little red dragon.

Photobucket

DIGIVOLVE TO ….
Photobucket

The Wind Dragon looks like a … I have no idea. A freak, I guess. Somehow reminds me of Yoda from Star Wars — probably because he’s green.

Photobucket

Closer look.
Photobucket

No wait, he’s Jabba the Hut! I knew it was something Star Wars, though.

The Sky/White Dragon (he’s not really white in appearance, though …). He looks noble. The most dragonlike of them all, save maybe Black.

Photobucket

The four wings thing is a bit weird, though.

Photobucket

And my favorite, of course, the Water Dragon. He looks like a frog! And he’s, you guessed it, BLUE!

Hoping I’ll just walk into his mouth?
Photobucket

Up close.
Photobucket

I hit him too hard. I stole a few good Deluge spells from him.
Photobucket

Later on, all 6 of these guys DNA Digivolve into some freaky floating island. It’s messed up.

Think of how awesome these guys’d look with today’s graphics.
